We are looking for aSenior Loan Workout officerto join ourLoan Workout Team inNew York City. This position is responsible for the maintenance, processing and administration of high risk rated loans that are assigned to the Cash Asset Management Group. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Responsible for Management of a complex portfolio of commercial construction, condominium conversion, commercial and industrial loans. The loans in this portfolio consist of non-performing loans and potential problem loans in South Florida and Central Florida. -Actively go on field calls to inspect collateral and liquidation of collateral as necessary. -Prepare monthly reports for senior management. -Monitor delinquent loans in the region. -Assist the regional managers and Bankers on field calls when applicable. Coordinate communications between the Bank and Borrowers on loans assigned to workout officer. -Review credit quality of files transferred to the Workout Group, to determine appropriate course of action. -Oversee and control classified loans that are assigned to Workout Group. -Responsible for periodic credit write up on accounts for management review. -Responsible for the maintenance and restructure of classified loans as necessary. -Analyze and prepare liquidation plan for each classified file. -Prepare to liquidate collateral on short notice when applicable. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED: -Knowledge of Bankruptcies (7, 11, 13), and must be able to work effectively with outside attorneys. -Strong problem-solving skills. -Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills. -Knowledge of bank analytical, oral and written communication skills. -Knowledge of banking principles, policies and procedures. -Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes. -Computer literate with a complete understanding of Microsoft Office programs and Excel. -Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally. -Ability to assess and analyze risk and recommend courses of resolution that encompasses a prudent and timely decision making process within credit authority assigned. -Substantial experience in management of commercial real estate and residential real estate construction loans is required. ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE: -Bachelor Degree, MBA preferred. -Minimum of 5 years commercial loan workout experience.
