This a key role in that you will be responsible for the UI component for the website.You will be trusted to manage the overall look and flow of the site.Using your extensive knowledge of HTML/CSS, JSP and Javascript, you can expect to integrate a variety of client and server technologies, ultimately producing clean, cross-browser compatible websites. Essentially, you are responsible for the design and development of the Company website, enhancements, and integration. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS Front end web development of the website and mobile store. Work with Java developers to integrate backend services with the front end display. Work with designers to turn product requirements, wireframes, and mockups into working web pages. TECHNICAL BACKGROUND * 5+ years of experience building website front ends. * Extensive working knowledge in the following areas:HTML/XHTML/DHTML/CSS: building css driven non-tables layouts, and abstract display from structure. JSP: building web pages using taglibs including Struts, JSTL and custom tag libraries. * Strong knowledge in the following areas:Javascript: understanding of the browser DOM, libraries like Prototype and Scriptaculous, and unobtrusive and progressive enhancement techniques. * Templating systems and the ability to structure front end resources for a maintainable system. * Expert Java programming for JSP scriptlet prototyping or extending existing class libraries. * Experience working with Apache httpd and Tomcat and troubleshooting issues. * Detailed understanding of good web development design patterns. * Understanding of page optimization techniques for both performance, maintenance and search engine optimization. * Ability to gain knowledge of new technologies on their own and utilize these to develop robust, scaleable, and extensible web sites. * Proficient in various open source tools to speed development. * Ability to multi-task while maintaining a rigorous attention to detail and high expectations for their work. * Knowledge of WAP and mobile XHTML, or content management systems a plus. **This is a direct hire opportunity.** Superior Benefits: Medical, dental, 401k, 20 days PTO, flexible spending accounts, transit and parking reimbursement.
