Description: Our client a top Financial services company is looking for a Senior Architect/Developer with 7-9 5+ years of design and development experience in complex Java and C/C++ projects. Responsibilities: Primary mission is to aid the investment banking development community across all lines of business to adopt and consume Utility Services through the existing Access (Rich and Thin client), Mediation (TZ/ESB) and Server (JASRE, grid) frameworks. The primary focus will be to help the Equities and Capital Markets Trading application development teams to design, implement and promote their critical business applications. The team will drive cross-technology knowledge transfer by advocating and using best practice guides to ensure efficient promotion to production. All work will be done in a consultative manner under full scrutiny of every DIO supporting those lines of business. Emphasis will be placed on creating documentation and deliveries that comply with the SDLC process. Activities will involve software and hardware design and implementation while complying with the application production assurance process.

Requirements: With primary responsibilities focused on Equities it is critical to have a broad range of skills related to the common frameworks, technologies and processes. A strong background in service oriented architecture and technologies like DataSynapse GridServer, Oracle Coherence and Azul is essential to create and advocate best practices for the frameworks. 5+ years of design and development experience in complex Java and C/C++ projects is required. Experience in equities, capital markets trading systems or QAL is preferred. Comfort with dealing across a dynamic work and team environment across several simultaneous projects is required in this fast past, delivery oriented position. The applicant will be required to work across a diverse set of projects with emphasis on documentation and rapid knowledge transfer. Candidate must be self motivated and independent with comfort working across a wide community of people with tremendous room for personal and professional growth. This role is suited for someone interested in integration and enterprise architecture. Ideal for a current or former senior architect looking to work with latest SOA-enabling technologies.
