Apply for this job: Your application choices are: * Apply for this jobonline * Send your resume as an attachment viae-mail * Refer someone you know More information about this job: Responsibilities: • Define, design and enhance a highly complex and fast growing multi tiered, virtualized storage environment consisting of SAN and NAS in a high availability, mission critical financial services company environment. • Engineer next generation backups and recovery solutions, to improve time to recover and ability to recover. • Moderate scripting (using PERL) to produce environmental audits, ad-hoc data collection and automation of storage product deployment and management. • Work with other engineering groups and support organizations globally to identify infrastructure enhancements. • Coordinate activities with global cross discipline engineering teams. • Integrate, test, and certify all production storage hardware and software used globally at the firm. • Evaluate and integrate vendor systems, management, and monitoring solutions for the firm's storage infrastructure. • Train and support operations or engineering personnel as required. • Provide third level support for all storage infrastructure elements within the firm.

Qualifications: • In-depth knowledge of SAN and NAS, or have very deep knowledge of Legato or other backup products. • Candidate should have basic PERL scripting skills. Advanced PERL skills would be a strong plus. • Ability to work independently on projects and be a self starter • Strong knowledge of Unix and/or windows drivers and internals • Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work with team members in different time zones • Proven ability to execute detailed work assignments efficiently and correctly • Strong analytic skills • Candidate should have the ability to analyze competing solutions for a problem and justify which are the best solutions from a technical and operational standpoints
