Senior Consultant - Infrastructure focus, Communication Sector - US. Microsoft Services is looking for Senior Consultants who have a mix of advanced technology and strategic business acumen. The role requires both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer business problems to reusable end-to-end technology solutions. Demonstrated ability to engage in senior level technology decision maker discussions related to agility, business value, and end to end information technology security is also a must. Senior Consultants are key enablers for other consultants and partner staff. They manage the complete lifecycle of large and complex projects. Senior Consultants have a passion for the customer which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience. Job Requirements : The Senior Consultant applies advanced security analysis skills and experience in principals of securing information systems to define appropriate customer solutions. To be credible he or she must have current and deep experience with large scale implementation of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Integration Server (MIIS), Exchange (5.5 or greater) based messaging systems and/or competitive technology messaging/directory systems (Notes, GroupWise, iPLANET, etc.) along with knowledge and experience with Active Directory, Security, SMTP, LDAP, IMAP, POP, virus protection, and x.500 based messaging systems. Knowledge and experience with deployment, management and monitoring tools such as Systems Management Server (SMS), Microsoft® Operations Manager (MOM) and third party systems is a plus. Candidate must also have knowledge of HMC (Hosted Messaging & Collaboration) 3.0 or higher. The Senior Consultant must have proven experience managing projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects to conclusion while maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both crisis management and expectation management. The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 6 years relevant working experience including expertise in enterprise architecture as well as infrastructure deployment and/or distributed system implementation. Qualifications include hands-on experience in several of the following: Active Directory, MIIS, Exchange, Live Communications Server, Lotus Notes, GroupWise, iPlanet, SAN Storage solutions, Netscape LDAP, PKI, wireless, and securing windows-based architecture deployment. Travel up to 50%% may be required. Candidates can be located in the NYC or New Jersey area.
