Description: External Job Title Senior Brand Manager, Godiva AutoReqId 17497BR Function Marketing Type of Job Full Time Country United States External Job Description This position is accountable for the implementation of product business plans in support of the P&L goals for assigned projects . The key position within the organization with regard to day-to-day management of brands . Develops consumer-centric business plans and monitors their execution. . Responsible for understanding and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing activity implementing in NA (search and spin) . Reports to Brand VP . Role will likely be accountable for major pieces of activity on a priority brand to the Brand Director, such as advertising, communication, renovation, and GAME planning. Management Responsibility . May supervise direct reports. . Responsible for development of brand GAME plans, subject to necessary consultation . Responsible for briefing, development and internal communication of Brand Growth Levers . Responsible for the development, with little supervision, of Communication Briefs . Accountable for maintaining consistency of brand presentation . Responsible for brand activity proposal and evaluation . Involved in, but not accountable for, the development of brand advertising . Responsible for managing brand/brand group budget . Responsible for routine and ad hoc brand and category performance analysis, plus making recommendations to address or exploit issues and opportunities. . Responsible for collecting competitive intelligence and recommending appropriate action . Accountable for managing advertising and media planning processes to time, cost and quality targets. . Responsible for managing brand renovation projects (line extensions, new packs) Accountable for some projects . Analyze brand performance . Supervise monthly financial/brand reports, including tracking of marketing budget expenditures . Identify key brand issues and competitive trends . Accountable for some advertising projects Key Outputs/Deliverables . Brand GAMEPLAN - the national activity plans flowing from the agreed consumer-driven strategies which provide direction, tools and materials for activation of the national strategy, including cross-cluster program creative development and calendarization, competitive analysis and war gaming, and national/global search and spin . Brand budget management and activities supervised to approved quality and budget parameters. . Communication and Activity Briefs to internal groups (e.g., Commercial Service) and external agencies . Implementation of key elements of brand plan such as packaging or SKU changes/introduction, PR activity, national pricing changes, media plans. . Codification and clear communication of Brand Growth Levers Experience . 5-7 years+ marketing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods Company (preferred); MBA preferred . Thorough knowledge of the adult beverage industry a plus . Effective grasp of consumer strategy and industry competitive dynamics . Exposure/Contributor to promotions development . Effective sales, negotiation and presentation skills . Brand cost center management . Effective brand project management . Effective problem solving, and decision-making . Annual brand operating planning/GAME planning . Exposure to/experience of advertising development
