Description: Posting Job Title Satellite Truck Engineer, Operations - truTV TimeWarner Division Turner Broadcasting Industry Advertising Cable/Broadcast Television Networks Online Content/Services Location United States - New York - New York Requisition # 105136BR Position Type Full Time Posting Job Description Qualifications: Minimum 3 Years Experience Operating a Satellite Truck - Minimum 2 Years Television Production Experience - CDL Certified Drivers License - Must be reliable and on time - Must be technically confident with broadcast and satellite equipment - Must be a team player with good communication skills. Duties: - Driving the support van, with GenSet trailer, from location to location. This van contains much of the needed support equipment for productions. - The ideal candidate will need to be familiar with DOT regulations and should have a CDL. - In addition to keeping driving logs, the individual will need to perform light maintenance on the generator that is pulled by the van (oil, filters, etc). - This position requires extensive travel in the US with months on the road at a time. - The Satellite Truck Engineer will help with the initial setup of a production and help with site surveys. Additionally, the individual will run various cables to the truck for the courtroom or production area. - He or she will help the satellite truck operator run some of the on-board equipment during productions and eventually learn the various pieces of transmission equipment to serve as a backup operator. - Experience in the area of production of a live television environment is required. - The individual will need to use the equipment that provides communications with the NY control room and work closely with the production team on sites. - They are to fully understand the satellite trucks I/O panel in adding additional cameras, IFB, etc for any production. - The person will eventually grow to learn the trucks router and patch panels. - The person will interact with Tru Tvs talent and producers to determine additional needs on site and need to do their best to meet those needs. - The person must be organized and maintain good communication with the SNG supervisor in NY Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. and its subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers.
