Job Description: Rodale Inc. is currently seeking a Sales Planner for their Runners World Online Advertising Department located in New York City. The Sales Planner would be responsible for working with online sales managers and brand managers to increase online revenue. The territory would include parts of the NY metro area plus potentially other east coast territories including New England and the Mid-Atlantic region. The Online Sales Planner will also collaborate with the brands marketing staff. Responsibilities include: * Manage process and coordinate the on-time delivery of client proposals working closely with Sales Reps, Marketing, Advertisers * Check all proposals vs. inventory system for availability and construct media plans that fit within avails while reaching client objectives * Manage advertising inventory and pricing requirements by working closely with Ad Operations team * Gather relevant data for advertisers (i.e. web analytics or media research data) * Input and track all current campaign information in ad booking system (pricing, scheduled impressions, scheduled sections, inventory check, and signed insertion orders) to ensure accurate revenue reporting and billing * Work with marketing to create effective sales and marketing tools, including sell sheets, presentations or mockups * Respond to requests about traffic, online editorial calendar, creative specifications, etc. * Create and submit trafficking request to Ad Operations for sold campaigns * Ensure that ad operations has received creative for campaigns about to launch * Collect screenshots and provide to sales reps/clients to confirm campaigns have launched * Troubleshoot/QA issues with campaigns * Provide wrap up report with delivery information upon completion of campaign * At monthly close, input final actuals into ad booking system for billing * Monitor live campaigns performance and report on status to sales weekly * Work with ad ops to monitor delivery from DFP and third party ad servers * Review campaigns weekly with trafficking to ensure delivery of campaigns and to review optimizations * Follow up with Sales/clients to implement optimization suggestions Ideal candidate will possess: * High caliber BA/BS degree required. * Previous sales support experience or internships a bonus. * Minimum of 2 years experience working in the Internet advertising industry * Understanding of online ad campaign metrics and analysis * Knowledge of the online advertising industry, technologies, and pricing and inventory * Comfortable with quantitative analysis * Strong applications experience (MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). * Professional maturity, integrity, discipline and a positive attitude * Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment. * Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. * Excellent verbal and written presentation skills * Extremely proactive * Excellent multi-tasking abilities Technical Skills Required: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Familiarity with DoubleClick DFP, DFA, Atlas, Comscore Media Metrix, Coremetrics and Rich Media vendors a plus
