Success in selling solutions requires rifle-shot selling strategies and great teamwork. They also require long sales cycles and the involvement of many key people in a high performance sales team. To help orchestrate, we are implementing the Major Accounts Planning System (MAPS) within the sales organization.
This position will be a key driver in making the MAPS system work for Bowne sales. The MAPS administrator will ensure that critical information on accounts and the timetables for follow-ups are in front of sales so that opportunities are addressed in a timely way; he or she will be expected to suggest improvements in the way sales management plan account penetration and growth. The position will have high visibility within sales, sales management and marketing, in both the field and the home office.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Establishes and maintains schedules for ongoing MAPS Update Meetings. · Establishes and maintains aMAPS Databaseof all data compiled and submitted by Sales via MAPS templates. · Creates and distributes updated MAPS summary reporting to Sales and Account Management on a monthly basis. · Ensures that reporting to Sales and Account Management is accurate, timely and appropriate. · Provides clarification and assistance when necessary to Sales and Account Management on process/workflow to ensure accurate Account Profile content is maintained. · Establishes and maintains aLead GenerationDatabaseof all data compiled from leadgeneration initiatives. · Creates and distributes updated summary reporting to Marketing and Sales on a monthly basis. · Ensures that reporting to Marketing and Sales is accurate, timely and appropriate. · Provides clarification and assistance when necessary to Marketing and Sales on process/workflow to ensure accurate Account Profile content is maintained. · Provides Marketing with PowerPoint presentation support. · Upon approval by VP Marketing, provides Sales and Account Management with PowerPoint presentation support.
Skills Required:
· Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred, and/or 3 years related experience in marketing. · Professional demeanor, including the capability required to interact with higher management (internal) · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (including MS Word, Excel, and MS Project) · Strong written and oral communication skills · Project/Time Management skills · Organization skills and attention to detail · Conceptual understanding of sales and account management
