Job Description: CAREER OPPORTUNITIES with CHIPOTLE! Cutting, slicing or chopping; as a cook or a line server at Chipotle, youll be preparing our gourmet burritos, tacos and bols. Position Summary The expectation for this position is that the employee will learn all the listed responsibilities and in a period of time, be fully capable of supervising a shift. A Chipotle Mexican Grill Shift Supervisor working under the supervision of the store manager has the responsibility for supervising shifts at assigned restaurants. Confers with kitchen and line personnel regarding food preparation. Oversees cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities and ensures that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Ensures fast and efficient resolution of service complaints and ensures food quality. The Shift Supervisor is expected to cover shifts where needed to the best of his/her ability. Supervise, direct and coach employees working on your shift. Sets and maintains Pace of Service and Thru-Put. Maintains excellent customer relations.

Main Accountabilities In addition to following Chipotles policies and procedures, main accountabilities are as follows: . Demonstrates awareness and understanding of food, beverage, and labor objectives by communicating issues regarding waste, portioning, scheduling, etc. . Sets an appropriate image and role model that represents the image and work style that is reflective of Chipotles values and culture. . Promotes excellent quality, customer service, cleanliness and safety. . Trains new and existing employees. . Manages his/her time effectively, while meeting all job responsibilities. . Proactively communicates issues regarding appropriate inventory and par levels. . Immediately communicates adverse incidents that have occurred during the shift. . Emphasizes safety and security awareness, and ensuring that employees are properly trained to create safe situations. . Ensures liquor is handled in accordance with Chipotles policy and the law. . Handles cash receipts properly and ensuring accountability for all cash handled on the shift. . Carries out and proactively monitoring proper waste disposal practices. . Processes phone and fax orders properly. . Adheres to and promoting compliance with all company policies. . Immediately communicates equipment problems, practicing good preventative maintenance on store assets. . Performs administrative duties as requested, and meeting all necessary deadlines. . Promotes Chipotles policy for Non-tolerance of Drug and/or Alcohol Usage in the Workplace. . Opens and closes the restaurant. . Depending on the needs of the business and/or department may complete other duties as assigned to advance a particular project or resolve a business issue. Qualifications Education/Training . High school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge/Skills . Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other employees. Able to follow directions both written and verbal. Able to work in a team environment. Work Experience . Previous food service experience helpful but not required.
