The candidate must be able to lead and take initiative; come up to speed on a diverse set of technologies quickly; proactively investigate new ideas; and create innovative solutions to concrete business problems. Individual will be responsible for researching and developing new technologies or product concepts. This position will also work closely with engineering teams as concepts are evolved into production-ready products. The right candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with an ability to convey findings and deliverables to a wide audience (both technical and non-technical). This position demands an uncommon balance of creativity and drive, interpersonal skills and a real passion for contributing to the growth of a world-class organization. Duties & Responsibilities * Cutting edge research and development of backend server functionality, as well as thought leadership. * Strong analysis & design with the ability to comprehend overall application architecture and patterns * Design and develop server based processes in support of research and advanced development activities in the area of high availability systems, high performance systems, model-driven development, service oriented architectures, and software metrics * Participate in a team working on advanced design and development of new features for future releases on top of the companys platform. This position will also participate in laying down the foundation for the platform. * Publish and present research internally and externally Qualifications * Candidate should be innovative, flexible, self-directed and willing to work in a collaborative environment to share, discuss, and brainstorm ideas. * Must have experience with performance engineering, data modeling, large scale application design with Oracle backend * A positive attitude, solid team skills, and an appreciation for company strategy and objectives. * Demonstrated ability of conducting and publishing research * Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills * BA or BS degree in Computer Science * 5 years of software development experience * Strong knowledge of modern software construction and methodology Preferred Knowledge of event-driven (publish/subscribe) programming models

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 Annually
