Principal Research Associate: The successful candidate will be joining the Research and Development Department, and his/her primary function will be to research, develop and validate new clinical products and assays. Prior experience in immunochemical assay development, FISH probe validation, and within the clinical laboratory setting will be significant advantages. The candidate will be expected to work within multi-functional research teams and assist in the inter-department coordination, data management and reporting of these projects. Responsibilities: . Contributing to product requirements and specifications . Managing components of design control processes associated with product development. . Designing, implementing, analyzing, and recording experiments leading to the development and validation of clinical products . Fulfilling technical requirements of clinical regulatory submissions . Preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training staff in implementing clinical workflows and associated technical procedures . Initiating research leading to novel clinical products and the generation of intellectual property . Representing the R&D department on interdisciplinary teams tasked with product development/launch . Enriching a team of highly collaborative scientists and engineers from diverse disciplines. Basic Qualifications: . BS or MS in Molecular Biology or Cellular Biology. . A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience with clinical flow cytometry, cytogenetics, molecular biology, cell biology and/or biochemistry. Preferred Qualifications: . Experience in clinical assay development . Specific technical experience with immunochemical assays/reagent development, analysis of serum protein biomarkers, or clinical assays measuring enzyme activity . Experience in the investigation and analysis of biochemical and cellular assays . Oncology or reproductive biology that relates to clinical assay development .
