Description * Main objective of the position is to provide research to clients and Smith Barney Financial Advisors on third party separately managed accounts and mutual funds. * Reports are developed based on interviews with portfolio managers and company representatives, follow-up investment conversations, collection and analysis of portfolio holdings and performance data, and collaboration with internal Citigroup Research personnel. * On-going research and due diligence is a requirement and consists of quarterly performance and holdings analysis and committee discussions. * Written research reports on existing investment managers and potential candidates are presented to an Investment Officer for approval.

Specifications / Qualifications * Bachelors degree required (preferred candidates with a Bachelors degree to demonstrate intent to continue their education by pursuing either a Masters degree or the CFA designation. * MBA or CFA preferred Fixed income or international equity experience preferred. * Series 7 & 66 required within first year of employment. * 3 to 5 years of investment experience. * Strong knowledge of capital markets and investment managers preferred. * Demonstrated analytical capabilities in previous experiences. * Candidate should also have a desire to analyze equity markets, securities and investment management organizations. * Solid written and verbal communication skills required. * Excellent PC skills required.
