Description: The Financial Services Risk Strategy & Regulatory Consulting group of Deloitte & Touche LLP assists our insurance clients in developing, enhancing and implementing programs for identifying, measuring, controlling, and monitoring compliance risks. Our group includes former regulators and professionals with experience in compliance and supervision in insurance and insurance broker-dealers. a We are looking for a Senior Manager based in our New York office to lead engagements designed to help our clients with: oaAssessing regulatory issues and challenges oaIdentifying and implementing new rules and regulations oaDesigning and implementing compliance and supervisory programs oaDeveloping policies and procedures oaAssessing compliance and supervisorya technology, including management reporting and metrics a Responsibilities: oaProvide engagement management including engagement planning, pricing, billing, and team management oaDeliver services that meet Deloitte & Touches engagement leader specifications oaTake an integral role in client retention, relationship building, and communication oaDevelop, participate in, and deliver client proposals oaCreate and contribute to internal and external communications including technical content of reports, proposals, etc. oaParticipate in external industry meetings as a speaker and develop industry points of view on topical compliance issues oaLead/assist in revenue generation at new and existing clients oaParticipate in training and development programs oaEvaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others oaPlay substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting as well as developing strong relationships with internal resources oaHave high visibility in functional or industry specialty oaParticipate in public speaking at internal and external events oaBA/BS in Business or related field is required oaMS/MBA degree is a plus oa10+ years experience with increasing responsibility in the insurance industry is required. oaStrong insurance compliance and insurance broker-dealer compliancea and/or risk management experience is required oaMust have strong understanding of multiple compliance and supervisory areas such as branch supervision, licensing & registration, correspondence & advertising, suitability, sales practices, and AML oaAn understanding of relevant FINRA, SEC, and state insurance and securities regulations is a plus oaPrior experience performing branch office exams/audits is a plus oaExperience with insurance broker-dealers and/or insurance/securities regulatory agencies is a plus oaCurrent and/or prior licenses, FINRA/NASD registered representative and principala licenses (e.g. Series 6, 7, 24, 9, 10) is a plus oaKnowledge of business and technology requirements; vendor identification, evaluation and selection; testing; and process changes. to assist with supervision and compliance is a plus oaProject management experience is required oaMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills oaStrong leadership skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities is required oaMust possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills oaProficiency in MS office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required oaAbility to travel (primarily domestically) up to 75%% is required About Deloitte Deloitte refers to one or more of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, a Swiss Verein, and its network of member firms, each of which is a legally separate and independent entity.
