Description:
Responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical ICU include:

- Assessing patients’ health status
- Collecting and documenting data to charts
- Determining diagnoses by analyzing collected data
- Determining and implementing plans of care
- Evaluating patients’ progress and recommending steps for increased treatment effectiveness
- Working with other nurses and surgeons of all specialties
- Providing continuous care, observation, and/or therapy to surgical or trauma patients

Required Skills:
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Experience in a surgical intensive care unit (SICU)
- Solid acute care experience
- Familiarity with critical care unit (CCU), hospital services, and medical-surgical specialty
- Valid New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (AAS)
