More information about this job: Overview: responsible for maintaining visual merchandising standards and product displays in all ks stores for the west coast.

Responsibilities: evolve current merchandising guidelines in order to provide all ks outlet store managers with specific direction for all product categories . travel to local stores (weekly), north atlantic regional stores (bi-weekly and/or monthly) and midwest and west coast stores (monthly and/or quarterly) to ensure that standards are being maintained and displays are being rotated . distribute directives seasonally and participate in weekly outlet conference calls . proactively prepare feature presentations to highlight focal product and seasonal displays (working in tandem with creative merchandising manager to coordinate with window displays) . merchandise new stores prior to store openings . implement styling and propping that complements each group and collection (working in tandem with creative merchandising manager) . stimulate sales through feature product and display rotations . coach store staff on appropriate merchandising techniques . work with creative merchandising manager on installation of seasonal windows . communicate observations from the field (stock levels, opportunities, display and fixture issues) through store reports . work with retail and PR team to merchandise stores prior to photo shoots and events

Qualifications: . Competitive analysis skills in the handbag and apparel . Strong design aesthetic and understanding of the kate spade and JACK SPADE brands . Strategic planning abilities . Initiative/sense of urgency; demonstrated problem solving skills . Excellent communication and presentation skills . Ms office (word, strong excel) . Proficient user of internal technical systems (OPS and Sewn)

Required Skills: . College degree preferred - with an emphasis on design or merchandising. . 3-5 years in positions offering relevant experience
