The retirement plans team also supports small and mid-size company-sponsored retirement plans by offering employers the option of having full program administration handled by The Hartford. WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES? .This individual will need to reside in NYC, any of the boroughs or within a 20 mile radius of NYC. .Works under the direction of the Division Sales manager or senior staff. .Operates independently in an assigned territory. .Identifies prospective clients, prepares and delivers new business presentations, and works with brokers to close the sale of defined contribution products and services. .Meets or exceeds personal sales objectives in assigned territory. .Working through brokers, develops sales leads (prospects) including physical calls, phone canvassing and written correspondence. .Demonstrates thorough knowledge of Hartford products by accurately communicating with internal staff, producers and contract holders.

Qualifications WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS? .Aggressive sales people .Successful sales person with a proven track record .Knowledge of defined contributions .Retirement plans experience .All appropriate FINRA and state insurance licensing is obtained if you don’t already have them (6,63, Group 1) .Enrollment /participation in industry associations, local agent round tables and courses such as CEBS, CLU, CHFC.
