Position will assist in gathering media breaks for all of our programming including The Tyra Banks Show, The Ellen Degeneres Show, EXTRA, TMZ, Judge Jeanine Pirro, Judge Mathis, The Peoples Court, The Bonnie Hunt Show, and our website MomLogic, a highly successful online destination for mothers. Help create and foster awareness for Telepictures programming in the blogosphere and online community. Help service clips to media outlets for specific episodes when needed, such as political candidates appearing on The Tyra Banks Show. Cover desk of Publicity Assistant when necessary. Assist with daily administrative duties such as organizing press clippings and filing invoices to keep the office running most efficiently. Special projects as they arise. Perform other related duties as assigned. Requirements College or trade school student working on BS/BA degree in Communication/Journalism/New Media or related field. Proficiency with MS Word and MAC is required. Proficiency with Outlook E-mail and use of the Internet are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Interest in entertainment news and pop culture. No previous work experience required, however a strong knowledge of the online space and familiarity with Telepictures Programming is a plus. Must have ability to communicate effectively & tactfully with managers & other levels of personnel. Must have ability to pay close attention to detail and understand written & oral instructions. Must have ability to organize & schedule work effectively. Must have ability to work well under time constraints. Must be able to handle multiple tasks. Must posses a professional mannerism.
