Description: Responsibilities for the Psych Nurse Practitioner include:

- Providing supportive counseling and psychotherapy
- Working with our chief of psychiatry
- Performing psychiatric assessments and formulating psychiatric diagnoses
- Prescribing medication and other therapeutic interventions
- Developing and initiating mental health care plans
- Maintaining NYS deptartment of health regulations and AIDS institute standards of care
- Handling ad hoc duties

Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- 3+ years of experience with psychiatric care related to HIV/AIDS, chronic mental illness and/or substance abuse
- Valid Registered Nurses license
- Valid Nurse Practitioners license
- Masters degree in Nursing
