Project Manager - Client Portals Position Overview: This candidate will be responsible for managing our Wealth Management Client Portals. The main focus will be development and enhancement of client portals, most immediately for a client portal reengineering project. You will be accountable for managing, successfully executing, and delivering benefits for large projects with moderate risk/complexity and/or multiple smaller projects. The candidate will participate in setting objectives, clarify project scope, assist in defining business requirements and deliverables; and consistently measure to ensure that initiatives are meeting business needs and direction. Responsibilities: * Work with business partners in defining a roadmap * Develop a web strategy for the an existing client portals * Develop a functionality roadmap for client portals * Participate as the key representative in our governance process * Identify enhancements that will specifically address the client experience * Proactive management to ensure system stability and optimum system performance * Work collaboratively with internal/external stakeholders to collect requirements and to champion delivering of enhancements * Keep abreast of emerging trends, tools and technologies in web development * Day-to-day operational management, web site support, root cause analysis and remediation planning to reduce future risks * Technical oversight for architecture, development and security aspects of the site * Staff development and management of 10+ person onshore / offshore person development team Required Knowledge: * Seven + years experience managing the development of a customer facing, account access web site within the Financial Services * 5+ years experience as a hands on application development team lead. * 5+ years relational database design and development skills, preferably gained managing a large-scale, complex application. * Specific technical experience in a production environment of: * Programming languages: Java * Development environment : WSAD 4.0 or higher, Eclipse, WAS, WPS, JBoss, Spring Framework * Java Technology : Java, J2EE, JSP, Javabeans, JAXB, Portlets, Servlets, JSP * Web Technology : Web services, SOAP, XML, XSD, XSLT Multiple operation systems: Unix, Linux, Windows 2000 Required Skills & Abilities: * Strong focus on client experience and eagerness to learn new technologies * Ability to build multi-phase roadmaps * Strong conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills * Superior communication (oral, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills * Ability to prioritize, organize and remain focused on desired outcomes * Continual improvement approach: identify process gaps and enhancement opportunities * Capable of consulting with internal and external stakeholders to collect data/requirements to identify opportunities, uncover issues, and obtain buy in from cross-functional business units * Demonstrates solid leadership ability that promotes team work; establishes constructive and collaborative working relationships
