McGraw-Hill Professional has an immediate opening for aBusiness Marketing Manager, based in ourNew Yorkoffice. The role of the Business Marketing Manager is tocreate and implement direct to consumer marketing plans that drive sales for business books, specifically professional investing. Additionally, the Business Marketing Manager is responsible to build brand and product awareness through partnerships with key associations, and implement online marketing initiatives to drive discoverability of MHP business content. Essential Accountabilities include: . Create and execute marketing campaigns to drive sales through multiple sales channels including bookstores, special sales markets and
MHProfessional.com. . Partner with authors/ or the organizations they are affiliated with to drive sales to retail, special sales or MHP website. . Work with special sales team to optimize accounts/leads for bulk or custom publishing opportunities . Develop and implement online marketing initiatives to drive sales of professional content . Work with the director of marketing to secure new partnerships to market and build a database of names for professional investing content. This includes researching various business associations that MHProfessional should partner with and researching conferences/conventions that MHProfessional should attend. . Attend and work at key business conferences/conventions. Develop plans to leverage exposure at each show to showcase key products, build brand awareness and build database of names for
mhprofessional.com . Communicate and work with sales reps to prepare for materials for sales meetings. This includes creating sales collateral pieces for sell-in, reviewing tipsheets and developing special promotions with retail/special sales accounts. . Managemarketing budget for professional investing and key business books. Determine proper spend for key initiatives/products and present to marketing director. . Attend weekly ed board and reprint meeting to forecast sales . Work with editorial on writing tipsheets for sales meetings and global partners. . Participate in weekly cover/copy meetings. Provide appropriate feedback to the creative team on important positioning and packaging elements. . Partner with publicity to create promotional plans for key titles launches . Present product/marketing plans to sales force and global partners at sales meetings. . Coordinate with our special sales team to have a business book presence at specific convention/industry conventions !*! . Must have College degree. . Minimum 3 years product marketing experience required. . Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook . Online marketing experience a strong plus . Organization, analytic and verbal and written communication skills a must. . Ability to accurately generate required reports. . Knowledge of the business, professional markets desired . Self-directed and detail oriented. . Some travel required. . Ability to work with customers to recommend products and solve problems . Ability to analyze markets and customer needs and develop marketing plans and product recommendations based on these needs . Time management and ability to prioritize tasks . Ability to organize and work with in-house departments (creative, publicity, editorial, special sales, key partners, digital group) to accomplish goals
