Akamai - Powering a Better Internet. About the Team You will be joining an exciting, cross functional team focused on a new product line in the online advertising space. In this capacity, you will be working with Akamais premier media customers and partners to improve the quality of online advertising.

Responsibilities: About the Job You will be responsible for a new product that leverages Akamais unique perspective of the Internet. Through your interactions with premier Akamai customers, you will define the product strategy and develop a roadmap for a v1.0 product. You will be working closely with engineering and a full cross-functional team including product marketing, sales, channels, service and support, network and operations, integration services, customer care, and billing. Responsibilities * Own the business plan, strategy, forecasting, pricing and positioning of a highly differentiated, new service offering * Define and implement a product roadmap for a v1.0 product * Manage product through initial launch and follow-on releases * Interact with early adopter customers to define market requirements * Provide actionable guidance to engineering with clear prioritization of development efforts * Develop product collateral such as technical white papers, presentations, sales tools, and competitive analyses * Create and deliver sales training for the direct sales force and the technical services and support teams

Qualifications: Basic Qualifications * Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent related field * Overall Experience: 5-7 years or equivalent experience * 5 year(s) of experience in product management or product development * 3 year(s) of experience with Internet security issues, such as click fraud, or equivalent experience * 3 year(s) of experience with ad servers, ad networks or equivalent experience Desired Qualifications * High degree of technical expertise and business acumen * Highly self-motivated, proactive and self-sufficient with the ability to motivate and drive a team of intelligent, creative, and opinionated colleagues * Knowledge and/or background in Internet technologies * Willing to travel approximately 50%% Other Information * Is relocation available for this position: Yes * Is US Citizenship required: Yes * Is a Security Clearance Required: No If yes, applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation & must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
