The ideal candidate will have strong product knowledge, flourish in a fast paced, innovative culture founded on creative thinking and a collaborative work environment. Meet and exceed net profit goals through the effective sourcing of affordable, brand and trend appropriate materials and finished goods suppliers.

Responsibilities: .Builds a calendar to ensure timely turnover of development, receipt of prototype and market samples, and placement of stock production orders. .Continually source affordable, trend appropriate materials for use in line through direct supplier contact, OSOs, tradeshows, factories, and agents. Visits retail and factories regularly to stay abreast of material and construction trends applicable to the brand. .Research and Develop materials and new techniques with suppliers based on design direction, within design esthetic and budget. .Source alternate manufacturing venues to achieve design, production, product development, merchandising and financial strategies and to maintain a balanced factory base for adequate capacity and technique options. .Plan annual factory allocations based on sales plan and development strategies. .Collaborate with design team to turnover specifications within calendar. Reviews all specs prior to turnover to ensure accuracy, completeness, quality, and affordability. Proofs and approves final product profile sheet for each SKU at the end of the development cycle. .Recommend enhancements to designs, quality construction and materials that will maintain esthetic and achieve financial goals. Reviews and resolves designs that cannot be achieved within these constraints. Reviews all prototypes with design and merchandising teams for cost, function and delivery. .Assign development to factories capable of fully executing our design esthetic, desired quality, and costing goals, while balancing factory portfolio to avoid dependence on any one resource. .Assign proper packaging and label callouts for new packaged styles. .Communicate target costs to OSOs and factories to aid in developing within budget. .Negotiates material and finished good costs on timely basis for market needs. Communicates and resolves costing impasses with merchandising and design. .Maintains accurate costing sheets by month within market including placed units, shipping mode, and weighted margin. Regularly reviews the progress of costing with management and merchandising until final for each market.

Qualifications: .Bachelors Degree preferred .3+ years of related experience .Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications .Ability to influence and work effectively with all levels of an organization
