Must be able to work long hours under deadline pressures. Must have strong leadership, international skills and work well with both production crews and talent. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent research skills. Good production skills. Superb integrity and professionalism. Well organized, computer literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet (Inews, Mediasource a plus). Duties: The successful candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of field producing and show producing at either a cable or broadcast network. The job requires strong feature and segment producing, strong writing skills and a thorough understanding of the news business. The person who fills this job will work with a team of veteran segment producers, bookers and writers to create a daily one-hour program. As such, he/she must be a creative thinker who can generate numerous segments off the weeks news headlines. This producer must be familiar with all aspects of television production and may be asked to serve as the line producer for the program. Help book and facilitate the numerous and variable editorial, logistical and technical details essential to the addition of guests for the segments. Makes judgments as to story selection, placement, length and editorial treatment. Determines creative format, content and graphic look.
