The Role Bloombergs R&D Portfolio Analytics team is seeking a disciplined and detail oriented C++ software engineer with 3+ years of industry experience to design, develop, and test Portfolio Analytics software applications and components. The applications include Risk Management, Performance and Attribution, and Portfolio Optimization functions. The software engineer will immediately be responsible for creating, enhancing, documenting, and re-factoring large complex software applications and will be involved in the entire software development life-cycle (requirements analysis, design, implementation, documentation, SQA, and maintenance). Qualifications - 3+ years of professional software engineering/development experience - Proven C++/OOAD skills - Proven experience building mission critical on UNIX (Solaris, AIX) - Experience with Risk Management or other Portfolio Analytics a plus - Experience with Fixed Income instruments and derivatives a plus - Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills - Strong written and verbal communication skills - BS in CS, Computer Engineering, or related Field. MS, Ph.D. a plus
