Description: Planner - Business Strategies & Processes Full Time Regular posted 02/01/2008 New York, NY Requirements ANN TAYLOR Roles & Responsibilities Strategy & Business Processes Planner - ATC Job Title: Strategy & Business Processes Planner Reports To: Senior Director ATC Reporting Key Interactions: Merchandising, Store Planning, Merchandising Planning Position Responsibilities: . Responsible for maintenance, improvement, creation and distribution of all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly Store Planning and Merchant Analyst reports. . Must have a working knowledge/can provide assistance/direction to Store Planning Team for the following systems; Open Planning, Assortment Planning, Microstrategy. o Plays an active role in systems training to other members of the store planning and allocation team. . Manages Ad hoc analysis and reporting, at the total store and any relevant levels within the merchandise hierarchy. . Supports the entire store planning and allocation team with regards to reporting, systems and development of process. . Creates and maintains all size analysis reports in partnership with allocation team. This includes topline and department for accuracy measurements. . Manages transition from Excel based reporting to Micro Strategy reporting. . Responsible for Consistency across divisions . Key reports are summarized below: o Monday Reporting: ? Attribute summary reports ? Sales and Inventory by Store and VG ? Accuracy Reporting, Weekly and Monthly. o Daily: ? midweek maintaining and updating ? Comp reporting on a daily basis o Hindsight: ? In collaboration with the Top line Planning, maintaining and updating the Reports ? Store Planning Templates for Hindsight maintaining and updating o Assortment Planning: ? Templates updating and maintaining the Store Planning Team Reports o MMPR. ? Acts as support to topline store planning for comp/non-comp reports. Position Requirements: . Strong analytical and mathematical skills . Ability to prioritize and multi task. . Power user proficiency in excel. . Excellent written and verbal communication skills o Ability to influence peers. o Ability to effectively partner/communicate with senior leaders. . Strong problem-solving skills. . Must be able to work in a team environment . Allocation, planning, buying or finance experience preferred. o Previous experience managing the new store openings preferred . Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters and materials . Must have the ability to recognize business trends
