Description: Photo Editor II Tracking Code NY 8251 Job Description Who You Are: This position is responsible for the visual editing, data review, legal review, and administrative tasks associated with photo submissions entering Getty Images via the Content Portal. This position is responsible for maintaining relationships with a select group of Hi-Touch artists. This position supports content development in the Shoot Program, as adjunct with Getty art directors. Your Next Challenge: * Reviewing and editing of photographic submissions. * Visual assessment (aesthetics, composition, styling, conceptual legibility). * Saleability assessment (relevance to potential customers visual needs). * Similar-images linking (sistering). * Communication to artists on submissions (via portal). * Collection assignment, contract selection, etc. * Metadata review & augmentation (captions, keywords, release associations). * Legal review (release language, copyright issues, legal risk category assignment). * Technical review (image file assessment). * Stay in tune with photography and image buying communities to keep abreast of trends in the industry. * Participate in content development projects, including brainstorms and supporting shoot program. * Maintain relationships with select group of Hi-Touch artists providing them with creative research information, shoot ideas, editing assistance, and feedback. * Assist with other special projects as required.What Youll Need: * A bachelors degree required. * Minimum of two years visual experience in the image market (e.g., stock photo agency, commercial photography, publishing, etc.) with duties that included photo editing and/or photo research. * Computer literate with Microsoft Office application knowledge (Exchange, Word and Excel), basic skill in Adobe Photoshop, image editing software, ability to work in both Mac and PC platforms. * Flexible and team attitude in a rapidly changing and demanding environment. * Must be self-motivated and have ability to work with a minimum of supervision to accomplish goals. * Excellent communications skills.
