Description The Private Bank Technology Organization positions itself to enable the growth of the business as its primary goal. Globally, there are over 200 employees located in New York, London, Geneva, Zurich, Singapore, Tokyo and Seoul. This position is located within the Global Strategic Projects group, which is responsible for major strategic technology projects that have a global impact. Acts as a lead worker (e.g., coaches, coordinates others work, acts as project leader) * Responsibility for managing development of Account Opengin and Straight Through Processing (STP) facilities of OneSource: * Oversight and guidance on design, interface definition, coding, and testing * Conduct reviews of design, coding, and test scripts * Ensure adequate margin-BOTTOM: 0px"Understand and resolve issues related to requirements, functional specifications, design, coding, and testing * Managing interactions with other Citigroup development units (SB, CBNA, Global Consumer - Asia, etc.) * Managing interactions with other development managers and business analysts on the OneSource project as appropriate * Managing interactions with regional technology as required * Assistance with project management duties related to development and implementation of Phase 2 of OneSource * Ensuring adherence to all applicable processes including those related to Software Quality Assurance, data secrecy and privacy, and system security

Specifications / Qualifications * BA, BS degree plus 4 to 7+ years preferrable project management course/advance degree * Experience leading a development team of 5 or more consultants/contractors * Experience with complete software development life cycle * Experience working with offshore vendors, particularly in India * Flexibility and adaptability to different environments from a cultural, geographical, and functional point of view * Strong object-oriented design and development skills, particularly in the context of larger scale web applications; Experience with Java, specifically J2EE/servlets/EJB and Oracle; Experience with interface and distributed systems technologies including MQ Series * Development manager, Project Lead * Experience with the following is preferable: Large scale projects; projects that have a global impact and require working with diverse groups of users and teams; working with an onshore/offshore development model; the finanical industry in general and wealth management or private banking specifically COMPLEXITY OF THE JOB FUNCTION: The account opening capability is fundamental to the onboarding optimization business case for OneSource in that it significantly reduces the defect rate and cycle time of account opening. The Development Manager for Account Opening plays a crucial role in understanding business needs; asking insightful questions to guide the business analysts during the requirements gathering process; assisting in clarifying the requirements to the technology team; designing and developing a system that is stable, fault-tolerant, efficient, and extensible; and validating the system through rigorous testing. A lack of focus or diligence in this area could lead to systems issues impacting not only our internal users in the front and middle offices and Account Opening groups, but also the end client by significantly extending the amount of time it takes to open new client accounts.
