The ideal candidate has great passion for the worlds of entertainment and celebrity and a vast knowledge of the online communities built around them. Editor will create daily blog posts ranging from celebrity updates, Hollywood industry stories, gossip tidbits and larger features. Writing tasks range from headlines to small features to photo gallery captions. Editor needs to bring bold ideas for interactive elements to add to features, ranging from hard-hitting poll questions to inspired use of embedded videos. Editor must be comfortable working with a variety of online publishing tools. Candidate should bring a strong sense of visual storytelling to the workplace through the use of photos and innovative page layouts. Candidate should be able to recall details from the last Miley photo scandal and know which box office records The Dark Knight just shattered. Candidate should be able to jump from an obituary on a 60s soul legend to an item on Britney exposing Sean Preston to secondhand smoke without blinking an eye.
