Capable of structuring and planning infrastructure projects, managing and reporting on them throughout (examples of your work may be requested). Prior experience working for an Investment services firm a plus.

Technical Knowledge:

* LAN/WAN, telecommunications (voice and data), product integration, market data services, MS Office * Windows 2003 Advanced Server operating systems installation, configuration and administration. * Exchange 2003 Enterprise, OWA. * Active Directory and Exchange 2003 network design, deployment and daily support. * Active Directory Forest, Domain, Site, and OU development and Active Directory Group Policy usage * HP Server hardware installation and configuration * Windows 2003 DNS, Distributed File System and Terminal Server * MS SQL Server * SAN and NAS Integration with High Availability solutions * Enterprise Backup Hardware and Software installation and configuration * Citrix Metaframe Server farms, Application publishing * Windows XP Pro * Performance Monitoring of server environment using native or third-party tools * TCP/IP- IP Planning, DHCP, VLANS, NAT What are the job responsibilities? * Supervises local infrastructure staff, and coordinates with functional team leads to address project workflow * Balances stringent production responsibilities (including 24x7 access) with multiple, diverse projects using shared resources. Prioritizes production calls so that project deadlines are not impacted * Monitors production support, enhancements, and projects. Tracks time for the group and prepares reports as needed * Consults and coordinates with Desktop, Network and Server engineering team leads on technical issues * Promotes team synergy Regularly communicates with team members * Seeks ways to enhance both individual and team efficiency * Provides mentoring /coaching to team members, providing regular feedback. Prepares and conducts performance reviews in conjunction with the team leads * Acts as liaison with the team lead between application teams and desktop team to coordinate testing following infrastructure changes/upgrades * Promotes and builds effective working relationships with business and IT partners, support staff and vendors * Escalates problems as necessary and owns such problems and provides timely status until transferred or resolved * Works with Help Desk staff to manage outages and communicate updates to IT and business partners * Attends and participates in weekly infrastructure status meetings * Lead weekly site meeting * Applies a structured approach to directly managed and delegated projects * Promotes cross training of teams * Participates in strategic planning and project budgeting * Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested What else can we tell you?
