Job Description This position is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security and support of the customers enterprise network infrastructure. Specific responsibilities include: - Support complex 24 X 7 production network; - Review, plan and evaluate network systems; - Install, administer and support switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs and other physical devices; - Troubleshoot network problems and recommend improvements; - Maintain and monitor network security; - Define and maintain standards related to the network infrastructure; - Research and recommend new technologies, develop procedures for integration into existing network; - Define, document and maintain operational procedures; - Work with third-party vendors in support of the network infrastructure; - Provides tactical and strategic input on overall network planning and related projects; - Performs related duties and projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: - One of more of the following certifications is required: CCNA, CCNP or CCDP. MCSE, MCSA, CCSP, etc. certification a plus. - Experience supporting, configuring, maintaining and installing Cisco enterprise routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPNs; - Experience supporting, configuring, maintaining and installing Cisco software; - Experience supporting, configuring, maintaining and installing Juniper VPN; - Solid understanding of TCP/IP: IP addressing, subnetting, NAT, QoS, IPSec, SSL, FTP, SMTP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, ICMP, etc - Knowledge of Microsoft enterprise software (server, networking, etc.) - Experience with routing within large enterprise networks; - Ability to perform packet analysis using tools for problem determination and troubleshooting; - Strong end-to-end knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, switching, VPN, encryptors, etc); - Knowledge of industry best practices. Position is based in Manhattan, New York City.
