Description: Mgr - Marketing Production Full Time Regular posted 06/17/2008 New York, NY Requirements Summary . Manages the day-to-day production of Marketing projects and collateral pieces for all of Ann Taylor Loft, as well as select Ann Taylor Stores and Corporate jobs. Roles & Responsibilities Retouching/Color Corrections . Review all images with creative; communicate all changes to the retoucher . Work with Creative to correct and approve color proofs . Confirm that FPO art is posted to vendors website and available for Creatives use General Production Responsibilities . Press checks for litho projects (postcards, presskits, packaging, etc.) . Compile production schedules for all Loft & ATFS jobs, select ATS & Corporate jobs . Approval of specs and mechanicals during job routing . Verify that all mechanicals are set up properly and all color specs are clearly marked . Confirm that job specs are consistent with the original job quote . Order downloads and matchprints for all Loft projects . Review and approve all blueprints, pass to Traffic Manager for routing . Communicate project changes to the appropriate vendor . Update Traffic Manager on the status of all jobs . Provide accurate Production information in Loft Status meetings . Collaborate with Marketing Services on all jobs . Maintain job folders for all areas of responsibility Advertising . Speak to the publication representatives to confirm production specs . Communicate the proper advertising specs to Creative . Make sure Creative properly sets up the bleed, trim, view area, jog to foot, etc. . Confirm all bind-in spec information with publications prior to printing Sourcing/Research . Source new vendors . Research innovative printing techniques . Research new/unique printing substrates . Understand different proofing methods and when to use them . Investigate technological advances in printing-presses . Understand the variations in printing machinery in order to determine which presses are ideal for our projects . Work with Creative and Visual to find effective, cost-efficient ways to produce their new ideas and product concepts Financial/Budget . Obtain competitive quotes from vendors . Fill out Purchase Orders prior to the release of a job to the vendor . Review invoices sent to my attention, make sure charges are consistent with POs . Communicate all potential budget problems to the finance manager . Oversee the invoice tracking spreadsheet . Manage Creative/Marketing Services changes to minimize AA charges -2-
