Overall management of Chief Medical Office (CMO) Meetings for all therapeutic areas located domestically and internationally. Scope of management includes budgeting, cost savings measurement, client relations, logistics, policy, standards and compliance controls. This position will be responsible for managing numerous projects simultaneously. This position will be trained on Healthcare Law compliance guidelines and will be responsible for communicating and implementing healthcare law compliance standards when working with healthcare providers. Manage all aspects of assigned meetings including site selection, hotel contract, food and beverage menus, registration, air travel, agenda review, on-site supervision and program budgeting and reconciliation/invoice payment. Manage all financial aspects of the program, including initial budget, ongoing budget management, billing, invoicing, reconciliation and cost savings details. Must have and maintain excellent relationships with hotel vendors, national sales managers and CVBs and have an outstanding reputation within the hospitality industry. Oversee the operation and necessary on-site management with hotels, vendors and suppliers. Must have excellent knowledge of hotels/venues in major convention markets. Must have the ability to balance key projects, managing budgets ranging from $10,000 - $2,000,000+ per project. Ability to manage complex projects ranging from 10 - 500 attendees, and manage multiple programs at the same time. Translates strategic plans into workable actions to deliver the meeting expectation. Must be flexible and work well under pressure. Provide backup to show significant overall cost savings to the organization.
Requirements: BA/BS required. 3-5 years Hospitality Industry Meeting Planning experience. Healthcare professional meeting experience a plus. CMP/CMM a plus. 25-35%% domestic and international travel required.
