Job description IBM Global Business Services (GBS) provides consulting services and develops innovative solutions for our clients most vital business and technical issues. Our Financial Management (FM) practice helps CFOs and finance organizations envision, design and implement the financial and accounting processes and underlying technologies required to overcome todays most complex business challenges. Our consultants work as members of engagement teams, often at client sites, helping clients better integrate process, organization, technology and information to reduce costs, improve financial reporting, increase profit and shareholder value and effectively manage risk and opportunity. FM consultants assist CFOs and finance organizations to design and implement the financial and accounting processes and underlying technologies required to overcome todays most complex business challenges. We offer opportunities in Finance Strategy, Finance Transformation, Operations Improvement, Enterprise Resource Planning, and Business Risk Management. While consultants activities may vary significantly, sample activities might include: formulating finance strategy, conducting research and analysis and preparing recommendations, business process reengineering or design work, use of management reporting tools and concepts, application of quantitative data models, and preparation of business cases, creating and conducting client presentations. Preferred Qualifications: . At least two years of financial/accounting work . Strong academic achievement (3.2 minimum GPA - if applicable); exceptional interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills; demonstrated leadership skills . Prior experience in consulting and relevant industry experience in Communications, Distribution, Financial Services or Industrial sectors . Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and meet deadlines for new assignments, systems and tools .
