Description: Job Title Mathematics Assessment Manager-NYC Kaplan Division K12 Learning Services City New York State/Province New York FT/PT Full Time Job Level Management Required Working Hours Days Job Description Kaplan K12 is looking for a Mathematics Assessment Manager to plan, develop, edit, and be held accountable for the content on our math assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities * Plan, develop, and edit math assessments for K12 clients, owning project content from start to finish. * Align math assessments to state and national standards, as well as client specifications. * Edit and evaluate manuscripts to ensure accuracy of content. * Be customer-facing and accountable for our highest-profile assessment programs - proposing and developing the program, researching customer need, conferring with customers on that need, and assuring those needs are met in final deliverables. Additional responsibilities of this position may include: * Development of math assessment items. * Evaluating subject-specific art spec forms to ensure accuracy. * Recruiting new team members by screening resumes, conducting first interviews, reviewing trial tasks, and completing reference checks. * Developing training materials for full and part time staff, and train and mentor newer employees on our development process and content expectations.

Required * Bachelors Degree in Math Education and/or experience developing math test items * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Extremely strong content writing and editing skills * Strong Customer Focus, Team Player, Problem Solver, Communication * Client communication and negotiation skills essential * Ability to stick to a schedule and to strict client-driven and internal deadlines crucial Recommended Credentials and Experience * Degree in psychometrics with emphasis on/experience with math assessment item creation * Previous experience in educational publishing with developing, or managing the development of, custom math items * Math teaching experience at high school level strongly preferred
