Position Description: Worldwide responsibility for the coordination and communication of marketing for all personal lines products, product development, worldwide marketing campaigns, direct marketing, target marketing and relationship management. Work closely with Field Vice Presidents and New York Home Office Staff to gain agreement on and the implementation of all initiatives to maximize profitable Personal Lines production. Responsible for establishing and promoting a marketing culture that emphasizes the importance of profitable production and attainment of top line growth initiatives. Serve as communications liaison between all relevant parties, coordinating diverse requirements, expectations, and deliverables for Personal Lines initiatives involving multi-line, â? cross siloâ Y activities such as OOC, relationship management, campaigns, cross selling, etc. Position reports to Worldwide Personal Lines President. Works cross-functionally within the New York Personal Lines Profit Center, Other Home Office departments and Profit Centers, AIU Office of the Customer, strategic marketing, and AIG product development, General management and NY Marketing staff. â aProduct Development- Manage the product development process across business functions and other profit centers. Ensure that new product and product bundle launches are properly implemented and executed. Identify new product opportunities. â aResearch & Development â aProduct Bundling/Packaging â aDefine appropriate tracking metrics â aGenerate status reports â aIdentify product features and marketing messages â aDevelop new product templates and customize product templates from Home Office â aIdentify product features and marketing message â aDefine operations and systems infrastructure â aCoordinate underwriting guidelines and pricing for new products â aEvaluate existing products for fit and positioning within target distribution channels â aManage new product information on AIU Personal Lines Intranet Site â aProduct Management â?? Manage post launch success of new products/product bundles and enhance premium generation of existing products. Use segmentation techniques to target most profitable consumer segments â aEnsure proper marketing message. â aCommunicate successes and challenges as part of best practices. â aDistribute premium results to distribution managers. â aManage sponsors as necessary. â aBuild premium of existing products through analysis of producers and products. â aDevelop and implement up-selling and cross selling for Personal Lines across all Profit Centers â aEvaluate existing products for fit and positioning within target distribution channels â aExpand distribution channels for specific products as needed â a Producer/Channel Training including materials development â aCampaign Management â?? Manage both internal and external constituencies responsible for delivering Personal Lines production. Proactively identify, develop and manage profitable distribution channels. Including but not limited to improving results of direct marketing campaigns â aProduction Campaign Management. â aCompletion of both pre & post Campaign analysis (P&Ls) and prepare informative and concise reports including financial analysis. â aProactive customer acquisition focus. â aDefine necessary operations and systems infrastructure required to support campaign distribution mechanisms. â aTrack Key Performance Indicators for all campaigns including productivity, expenses, and overall effectiveness. â aOffice of the Customer (OOC) â?? develop customer-centric programs to increase premium and maximize profitability for the Personal Lines Profit Center. The selected individual will drive profitable growth by increasing premium from existing customers, developing a process for customer relationship management and identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities. â aGuardian of the Personal Lines database. Insure only approved access to Personal Lines database with appropriate business benefit to the PC. â aCreate, implement and evaluate OOC initiatives. â aLiaise with Operations & Administration (O&A) Manager in matters related to customer information and support. â aMaintain an inventory of OOC initiatives and results. â aPublicize OOC successes. â aLead data mining efforts and developing market segmentation strategies. â aIdentify and support market profitability objectives. â aDrive increased premium levels (and higher Retention) through cross-selling and up-selling efforts. â aEducation â?? Educate peers within/outside PC on marketing function and profitable production growth. â aCommunications â?? Insure quality and accuracy of all communications including collateral development, vendor management, print/production, advertising and Public Relations. â aRetention â?? Drive initiatives to improve customer retention. Develop an institutionalized customer lifecycle process and identify customer defection trends. Develop customer communications materials and the schedule to deliver during the customer cycle. Define customer communications schedule and initial data requirements. Insure all campaigns and producer contracts have retention component.
Position Requirements: â a A minimum of 15 years of marketing experience in Personal Lines Insurance or an equivalent financial services environment. â a Insurance knowledge including underwriting concepts and knowledge of relationship management and target marketing. â a Understanding of database marketing, modeling and market segmentation. â a Strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills. â a Excellent communications skills. â a An entrepreneurial spirit â a Proactive leader able to develop mechanisms to drive increased levels of profitable production. â a Highly computer literate and proficient in the use of relevant software. â a Advanced University degree (Masters) â?? area of study should include: marketing, operations researcg/management and finance/accounting. â a Ability to work in a matrix organization and liaise with multiple HQ and field units.
