Standard & Poors is seeking a Marketing Specialist who will support the Standard & Poor’s Data & Information Services marketing team, with emphasis on the Securities Information (SI) product portfolio, in the development and execution of all elements of the marketing mix including e-mail campaigns, advertising, direct mail, collateral materials, trade shows, marketing promotions, customer communications, product public relations and market/marketing research. This position is also responsible for marketing communications for Securities Information’s existing products, execution of tactical public relations activities, and tracking and measuring marketing department effectiveness as well assist with Web content management and privacy policy. Major Responsibilities include:

. To support the marketing team in planning, executing, and maximizing marketing campaigns to help build awareness, and drive customer acquisition and retention. Coordinate front-end, creative, production, and back-end support for these campaigns. This also entails using all elements of the marketing mix (both online and offline) including Internet marketing, print/Web advertising, direct mail, e-mail campaigns, collateral materials, trade shows, marketing promotions, public relations, customer communications, and market/marketing research. . Execute marketing programs using various tactics. Including online and offline direct marketing campaigns, sales collateral, advertising, and public relations. . Maintain systems to measure marketing department effectiveness (i.e., ROI, leads analysis, expense tracking, web usage reports, customer lists, etc.). Support the development and execution of these measurement systems into automated processes. . Assist in the creation, production, and revision of sales/marketing collateral materials, direct mail pieces, and promotional emails that will promote global sales of Data & Information Services products and services, with emphasis on the Securities Information (SI) product portfolio. Consult with product, marketing and sales managers to research and update content. Supervise the design, printing, production and distribution of all collateral and direct marketing materials. . Work on marketing program management, segmentation and targeting strategies, and results reporting to maximize marketing program performance. . Develop and execute MarketFirst/Responsys e-marketing campaigns. . Execute a variety of tactical public relations activities through in-house and agency resources. . Plan for and attend trade shows, conferences, user meetings and special events where appropriate. . Manage customer data through data modeling/mining, helping to identify customer behavior and customer segments for forecasting and planning purposes. . Maintain monthly budget tracking and financial planning process for the marketing department. . Support internal communications through special events and by creating, writing and distributing the quarterly newsletter, “E-Agenda.”

Qualifications . College degree preferred, preferably with a major in marketing, business management, info systems, economics, or finance. . Position requires 1-3 years of marketing experience or relevant work experience. . Requires excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. . Requires strong analytical and organizational skills. . Requires strong written and verbal communications skills. . Experience with database marketing, interactive marketing, and Internet marketing is preferred. . Candidate must be assertive, creative, energetic and resourceful.
