Position Description POSITION DESCRIPTION: In this integral role, you will be responsible for promoting
WSJ.coms new and core content initiatives in order to increase site usage, in-network and referral traffic. You will work closely with the product, editorial, sales and circulation marketing teams to achieve
WSJ.com traffic and revenue goals. Determine the best mix of product marketing, traffic-driving, email marketing and SEM to create awareness of
WSJ.com and drive qualified traffic to core sections and classified verticals. Create site usage-driving units with internal design resources, depending on promotional and sales inventory needs. Work with external agencies to design online creative and execute SEM programs. Monitor search engine optimization performance and work with product team to improve response from organic search. Measure and report on metrics, ROI and other key success factors of marketing plans and adjust as necessary. Work closely with
WSJ.com product managers, sales marketing, business development and PR to execute major launches and significant advertiser programs. Coordinate with
WSJ.com,
Barrons.com and
MarketWatch.com circulation teams as needed to help drive paid subscriptions. Coordinate with print and online marketing colleagues across Dow Jones to ensure brand consistency. Prioritize and flight Dow Jones house campaigns on
WSJ.com, working with internal clients including WSJ Books, Journal-in-Education, and the classified verticals. Work with sales marketing to execute industry event sponsorships and participation. Position Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS: . Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing and media. Knowledge of online advertising and search engine marketing highly desirable. Ability to develop and successfully execute creative, strategic consumer campaigns. Experience working with vendors and external agencies. Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment. Ability to manage multiple projects across varied content areas. Strong organizational and problem solving skills Must have the ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills. Other Information
