Description The Beauty Care Solution business is a newly acquired business that became part of BASF as a result of the Engelhard Corporation acquisition. Beauty Care Solution is a world leading biotechnology and delivery system provider to the high-end skin care industry. We serve the world leading skin care companies and have been enjoying aggressive growth since our creation over 20 years ago. We are a Global Business Unit headquartered in Florham Park, NJ; and have several major locations in Stony Brook, NY, Paris and Lyon, France, and Tokyo, Japan.

The NAFTA Market Development Manager will be responsible for growth and market penetration for the Beauty Care Solutions business, primarily in the NAFTA region but also globally for specific projects. He/she will report operationally to the Global Product Marketing and Branding manager based in Paris and functionally to the Global Marketing Director based in New York. Primary responsibilities: - Identify, measure, select and drive growth programs ( R&D and marketing programs) to insure adequate growth and execution of the innovation portfolio in the NAFTA region by interacting with R&D and Operation teams in Stony Brooks, NY and Lyon France. - Build business case for incoming opportunities in close collaboration with Sales and R&D teams. - Manage launch process, communication and support for new product introductions in the region in close collaboration with the Global Product Marketing and Branding Manager based in Paris, France. - Coordinate communication between R&D, Sales and Marketing for Long Island projects and insures proper information sharing on a global basis. Contribute to the knowledge management process on a global basis. - Support NAFTA Sales team and contribute to the establishment of preferred customer relationships by providing strong technical and marketing support to the Sales team. - Contribute to the generation of appropriate industry insights and strategic perspective in terms of industry trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, regulatory impact, etc. - In collaboration with the Market Intelligence Manager, provide strategic marketing insights and product development input and coordinate with product development project teams to identify major axis of research. - Build and execute NAFTA Sales force training and Market Activation programs. - Coordinate execution of NAFTA communication strategy, responsible for brand equity and awareness building in the region. - Contribute to the management of our relationship with strategic customers in tight collaboration with the sales organization

Qualifications MS in biochemistry or related field, with a minimum of 5 years experience in a high-end skin care active ingredients business, or in skin care Research and Development or Marketing at one of the world leading skin care brands. Excellent business acumen, advanced business management degree with a specialty in marketing a plus. Proven ability to interact in a multinational environment. Strong interpersonal and communications skills and ability to influence multi-functional areas to achieve business objectives. Proven creativity and sensitiveness to future trends. The successful candidate will have the ability to understand and integrate consumer trends and advanced scientific concepts.
