Disney Theatrical Group, the leader in live family entertainment, is presently in search of a positive self motivated Manager for our Publicity Department. The Manager of Publicity will participate in the development of strategic public relations plans for the organization and its productions. This individual will report to the Director of World Wide Publicity and Communications. Evening and weekend work will be required on a regular and on-going basis. Travel approximately 20%% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES • Identify, develop and pitch story ideas to the national broadcast and electronic/online media on behalf of Disney Theatrical Group and all its productions including Broadway, International, Touring, Licensing and Merchandising. • Direct the coordination and centralization of all publicity/synergy efforts with the creation of division-wide status reports • Manage the creation of a centralized and fully-functional publicity office including the establishment of a media library, national media list and daily clipping operation • Write and edit press releases, biographies, tip sheets and other media materials • Manage the compilation and distribution of publicity breaks, broadcast reports and weekly publicity grids • Develop, establish and maintain national publicity contacts on behalf of Disney Theatrical Group • Cover interviews, photo shoots, press events, backstage tours, and other special media events

REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have a Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of national publicity experience within an entertainment organization or PR agency. Applicants must have excellent print, electronic, and online media contacts. This position requires superior written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate must have the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Solid PC skills including Word and Excel are required.
