The Manager will assist the Senior Director in acquiring new business from premier Internet publishers, and eventually will be responsible for acquisition of new business as an individual contributor. Knowledge of market, including Internet media and advertising trends, competitors, leading customer strategies and analytics are required; a strong background in Internet business development, as well as direct experience in the online advertising industry is preferred. Candidates should be polished, goal-oriented self-starters with strong sales and negotiation skills and instincts. Responsibilities will include: . Analyze and identify the most suitable new business opportunities, focusing on top-tier, branded Internet publishers; . Engage with decision makers at all levels to build and maintain a strong pipeline of ongoing new business opportunities; . Initiate business discussions with new prospects, develop custom presentations, coordinate and manage new business meetings, conduct online and in-person demos, and handle contract negotiations; . Identify and develop a strong understanding of a prospects core objectives and challenges to craft a mutually compelling partnership opportunity; . Liaise with Publisher Services team to effectively manage client expectations and ensure successful implementation and a strong, long-term partnership; . Regularly meet or exceed revenue goals and demonstrate target-focused sales efforts and relationship building; . Travel as needed to meet with prospects and clients and attend trade shows. Requirements: . BA/BS degree, MBA preferred; . Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience, including at least (1) one year in a business development role in Internet / new media; . Strong knowledge and understanding of web analytics and revenue forecasting (proficient with Excel); . Proven communication, presentation and sales skills, with a consultative sales approach; . Strong rolodex of Internet media decision makers/executives a huge plus.
