The Insurance Practice within BearingPoint is seeking a Senior Manager with prior management consulting experience to support Policy Administration projects for our Property/Casualty line of business. Locations: East Coast/Mid West Relocation: No Performance Profile: . The successful candidate will lead development of new/add on sales and participate in team sales. . Assists the business development team with writing and presenting proposals for large or complex projects . Responsible for the management and direction of multiple, large or complex projects or function as a highly skilled individual contributor in the Insurance consulting practice in order to consistently achieve practice revenue and profit objectives. . May assume an organization-wide leadership role for a specific technology or process. . Manages overall relationships with some clients and has frequent and direct contact with the most senior level managers and executives to provide technical expertise and project direction. . Shares practice management and performance management responsibilities including the overall management of project teams and development and review of staff. Position-specific Requirements: . The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant work experience in both consulting and general Property/Casualty insurance industry supporting underwriting and policy administration systems. This experience should include both functional and technical subject matter expertise involving understanding of architecture, development and implementation. Ideal candidates will have experience with multiple full-lifecycle underwriting or policy administration system implementations and/or sales and policy processing transformations. . Must have 7+ years experience managing engagements in the P&C Insurance sector and leading large project teams to consistently achieve practice revenue and profit objectives. Day to day responsibilities include: project planning, engagement management, budget management, resource allocation and vendor management. . Candidates must have significant background and understanding of both Commercial Lines and Personal Lines operations . Must have in-depth understanding of overall insurance business including: sales (agency and direct), underwriting, policy administration, claims, billing, reinsurance, etc. . Demonstrable understanding of PMO and process improvement methodologies, gap analysis and SDLC in an insurance environment. . The ideal candidate demonstrates ability to knowledge share both within and outside the insurance practice and / or an engagement setting. . Current or recent Big 4 experience is strongly preferred. . Candidates must have the ability to accommodate a Monday-Thursday travel schedule. . Candidates must have current US work authorization. Education and Experience . Advanced degree preferred
