Description: Manager - Financial Plann City New York State NY Position Type 1 Requisition ID 150842

Provides financial analysis, planning and accounting support to the ABC News Division. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes cost estimates to measure financial performance and drive operating plans. Leads and coordinates preparation of financial reporting and analysis. Work closely with News partners to achieve strategic goals. Assists with quarterly closing process, forecasting, budgeting, and LRP preparation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES · Translate broad strategic goals into tactical action plans, policies and processes for area being supported. Drive the action plans of key initiatives. · Manage relationships between Finance and the key areas impacting the area supported (eg. Bureaus, BO&E, Satellite Desk). · Coordinate with News Division to determine proper accounting for costs. · Partner with department head on the preparation of the annual operating budget for the News Division. Participate in Monthly Forecast and LRP preparation as needed. · Prepare and review financial reports (e.g. daily flash, weekly production reports). · Consult with Accounting and Control group on the preparation and review of monthly journal entries, Account reconciliations and Quarterly reporting requirements · Analyze financial data and trends related to the business. Convey relevant information to key stakeholders.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, and Economics

Number of Years of Work Experience: 5 to 7 years in a broadcast environment, with experience in news finance and production desirable.

Technical Skills: · Strong skills in Microsoft Office and related applications. · Strong SAP knowledge desirable. · Proven knowledge of financial planning, analysis and/ accounting

Non-Technical Skills: · Candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, flexible and have highly-developed communication skills. · Must be able to work in a deadline-driven environment. · Should strive to achieves the highest level of customer satisfaction · Conceives creative ideas to solve problems or meet objectives · Must be a strong team player · CPA or MBA a plus.
