Description: Manager-Emerging Payments Business Case Development AutoReqId 108615BR Responsibilities The main purpose of this position is to develop and manage strong business cases that would allow AXP senior leadership to make effective decisions about implementing new emerging payment technologies. The business case components would be identified as part of test and learns and would be managed through new product development and deployment cycles. The Manager will create and manage business cases that highlight potential economic benefits that will be used by senior leadership to make investment decisions of emerging payment technology development and deployment. These decisions will affect network and merchant strategies worldwide. Although this person will report to the Director, EP Innovation, they will work with all the EP teams to help identify, measure and validate the value proposition of an emerging payment technology. They will partner with GNO Finance to ensure AXP financial compliance. They will help rationalize EP investments with GNO Business Planning. They will identify any risks or impacts to the BB working with the Risk and Fraud teams. Responsibilities include: . By participating in test and learns, create solid business cases including economic models, identifying all costs and measurable benefits. This will require working with all test participants including individuals from issuing, network, merchant services, AET, pricing, policy, risk and fraud groups. . Continue to update and refine the business case through the product development lifecycle. . Articulate the business case proposition in laymans terms via presentations to leadership. . Manage and validate the business case through the completion of product deployment. . Provide analytics on business case actuals including any learnings on assumptions via management updates. . Educate the Emerging Payment teams on business case development. . Aid the EP Directors in rationalizing their investments through SQP process. Thorough understanding of external environment and AXP business models globally, network economics, Emerging Payments technologies and AXP financial policies and procedures. Proven P&L and/or Business Case Development skills Proven experience in project management and in delivering upon strategic initiatives Strong people ledership, communication and influencing skills Goal-oriented, self starter, and proactive business person in a finance roleT Team player with the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels throughout the organizaiton, in a staff or business function.
