We are currently seeking a Compliance Manager to join our in our New York City office. Responsibilities: - Manage the tax processing department to help ensure it runs in an efficient, cost-effective manner consistent with the overall policies - Supervise, train, and develop staff - Develop project specifications, document business requirements and propose resolutions - Assess staffing needs and hire seasonal staff, as needed - Track and report budgets - Manage and maintain tax return tracking database activity - Oversee processing and coordination of tax record retention and maintenance systems - Perform and oversee a thorough quality control review of tax returns to help ensure accuracy and conformity with policies and documentation standards - Collaborate with other team members in monitoring new tax law developments as related to tax filing matters Qualifications: - Six years of experience in public accounting, tax accounting or another related field - Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university or the equivalent in work experience - Ability to oversee tax collating/tax processing compliance - Strong leadership and supervisory skills - Proactive team player - Detail-oriented and highly organized - Good understanding of income tax concepts and filing deadlines - Proficiency with web-based document storage, income tax software, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat software - Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with others to accomplish common goals - Willingness and flexibility to work overtime during peak tax compliance season KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
