The Maintenance Manager Building Trades will manage day to day building trades shops (carpenters, painters, plumbers, electricians, locksmith); prepare RFPs, RFQs following Client purchasing and other business processes. Manage payroll, time/ attendance records IAW Client processes and good business practices. Work with contactors and other service providers to ensure agreements and contracts are fulfilled. Work independently or on a team; conduct regular staff meeting and evaluate trade sho performance and make adjustments as required.

Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess a BS / BT in engineering, facilities management, construction management or related field; with 5 years experience managing building maintenance; or AS in an applicable technical field (trade / engineering); or technical school diploma with 10 yrs. experience in maintenance management. Experience in higher ed or healthcare desired. Military commissioned service as public works or maintenance officer with 3 years private/ public sector experience. Experience working with unions, managing organizational change / process improvement and work rate standards a plus.
