Departmental Overview: This Product Control role is to support the Life Finance Group in NY - a business that has been rapidly expanding and has recently added additional key Structuring and Trading heads in the UK to further grow this business. This group is responsible for originating, structuring and trading longevity / mortality risk both in physical form (life policies, premium finance) and synthetically (derivatives) to customers looking for liquidity / financing / risk management expertise in this area (or alternatively wanting to invest in an uncorrelated asset class). In addition to the Life specific products, the group also trades a number of credit and interest rate derivatives. Primary Responsibilities: Manage / supervise the following functions: * P&L Production, Validation, Analysis and Commentary * Price Testing * Front-to-Back Reconciliations * Structured Trade Reviews on complex transactions * Fair Value Disclosures and General Ledger Reconciliation * Assessing and implementing changes in relevant accounting and regulatory standards as they relate to the business (e.g. FAS 157 / 159, SOX 404) * New business/product approval and implementation * Process and system enhancements - working with IT and the business * Participation in pricing model and valuation methodology approval workgroups * Author, monitor and maintain relevant policies

Qualifications * Previous Derivatives Product Control experience * Understanding of Life insurance products or structured credit products * Proven track record for implementing process change and system enhancement * Finance / accounting or Financial Engineering degree (desired) * Staff management & leadership experience
