Advisory professionals are also able to provide clients with relevant industry and functional skills where they need them most. We are currently seeking an Actuarial Services Manager to join us in our New York City office KPMGs Actuarial Services professionals offer business strategies to clients in the rapidly changing insurance and reinsurance industries. We also bring insight and quantitative analytic skills to non-insurance clients including healthcare companies, government agencies, self-insurers, and others. We assist clients in understanding and addressing challenges caused by competition, technology, mergers and acquisitions, globalization, increased regulatory scrutiny, and the ongoing struggle to provide greater value to stakeholders. Responsibilities: . Provide technical support to the actuarial management group . Lead advisory projects for both life and health insurance companies . Participate in and lead selected business development efforts for the advisory practice . Supervise the development and projection of actuarial models using Tillinghast Actuarial Software or other similar spreadsheet software . Supervise the programming/manipulation of database applications that are used in support of experience studies and other data management functions . Direct project planning, development of deliverables, and other technical writing exercises . Direct actuarial staff level team members in support of the functions listed above

Qualifications: . Certification as a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries (FSA) . Strong understanding of life and health insurance products . Fifteen years of applicable recent work experience . Five years of experience in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Financial Reporting . Demonstrated business development and advisory experience . Able to travel an average of 30 percent of the time, for both domestic and international assignments . Experience in actuarial modeling, with five years working with Tillinghast Actuarial Software or other recognized actuarial modeling software . Strong working knowledge of spreadsheet software and database software such as MS Excel and Access . Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills .
