Position Overview:KIPP NYC is seeking a dynamic and driven Talent Recruiter to develop and implement recruitment and selection strategies to attract and retain top talent for KIPP NYC. Reporting to the Director of Talent Services and working in partnership with one other Talent Recruiter, this person will create and execute recruitment plans which include travel to local and regional career fairs and collaboration with school leaders and external partner organizations to attract top talent. Additionally, the Talent Recruiter will schedule and conduct candidate interviews and guide strong candidates through the interview and hiring process.

Responsibilities: • Develop short- and long-term recruitment calendars, strategies, and programs to attract and select a strong, diverse team to KIPP NYC and its schools • Manage recruitment, interview, and selection efforts, including developing and managing interview rounds and selection process, conducting initial phone screens, scheduling and conducting interviews, and providing written summaries to principals • Build and manage relationships with key partner organizations (including Teach for America, New York City Teaching Fellows, and teacher universities) • Maintain detailed records of the status for each available position and act as main point of contact for candidates throughout their recruiting process with KIPP NYC • Track metrics related to recruiting (e.g., candidates yielded by each source, time to hire, etc.) to evaluate various strategies and improve hiring efficiency • Provide regular updates to KIPP NYC principals/program directors • Represent KIPP NYC at career fairs and other recruitment events and organize KIPP-sponsored events • Design and manage recruitment materials, including the KIPP NYC website • Propose and manage new recruiting initiatives as appropriate

Qualifications: • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in education and/or recruitment • Demonstrated success raising the achievement levels of underserved student populations • Strong customer service-based approach to recruiting and relationship-building • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including experience networking and delivering presentations to diverse constituent groups • Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail • A strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit to take on significant responsibility and manage multiple projects • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and results-driven environment • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required KIPP NYC is an equal opportunity employer.
