dtsnj.com ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: “Essential functions” are primarily job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodations made by the Company. · Conducts formal classroom training. · Conducts one-on-one training sessions as requested. · Conducts lunch hour workshops. · Develops training courseware including course outlines, in-class and practice exercises, and instruction sheets. · Collaborates with Training Manager and other training staff to prepare courseware for training classes. · Designs, develops and maintains documentation including user guides, quick reference cards, quick tips and software manuals. · Develops and updates content for intranet including daily tips and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). · Participates in the development of computer-based training modules (CBTs). · Assists with administration of computer based training (CBT) tools and skills assessment tests. · Assists in maintaining online training registration. · Maintains clean and orderly classroom conditions and ensures that adequate supplies including training materials are available. · Provides advanced level support to Help Desk staff on complex Word document issues, InterAction questions and Excel workbooks. · Provides support and software trouble-shooting to end users and other IT Departments. · Provides floor support on weekly schedule. · Evaluates and tests new software. · Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The following knowledge, skills, abilities and experience are required for the Trainer position: · Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred. · Excellent teaching, training and presentation skills. · Five or more years training experience in a corporate law firm or investment bank. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Proven track record for producing high quality documentation. · Ability to work overtime as needed. · Expert knowledge of: - Microsoft Word XP - Microsoft Excel XP - Microsoft Outlook 2003 - Microsoft PowerPoint XP - iManage (or other document management system such as DOCS Open or Hummingbird DM) - InterAction is strongly preferred · Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of: - Windows NT 4.0 - Internet Explorer - cDeltaView, Carpe Diem (or other time management program) The following skills and experience are desired for the Trainer position: · Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visio, RightFax, Citrix and other law firm specific applications. · Experience designing macros and/or templates in Microsoft Office. · Ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive work demands in a fast paced, professional environment while continuing to fulfill essential duties. · Ability to work more than 40 hours per week when required. Position may require conducting training on nights, weekends or holidays. WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment.
